Canalway Trail Dedication at Camillus Erie Canal Park
Event Will Kick Off Annual Canalway Trail Celebration and
National Trails Day Slated For This Weekend
The New York State Canal Corporation will hold a
dedication ceremony along the Canalway Trail at the Camillus Erie Canal Park on
Devoe Road in Camillus, Onondaga County, on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 1 p.m.
The Trail dedication will help kick-off the Annual Canalway Trail Celebration
slated for this weekend in conjunction with National Trails Day on June 2, 2007.
Canal Corporation Director Carmella R. Mantello, local officials and Canalway
Trail volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the Trail’s success
and provide information about this weekend’s activities. In addition, photo and
television footage opportunities will be available.

Directions:
From I-90, take Interchange 39 (Syracuse, Fulton, Rt 690). Proceed towards
Syracuse to Exit 6. Take Exit 6 and follow Rt. 5 West. Take the right fork (Rt.
5 West) for 3 miles. Take the exit marked Camillus Warners. You will see the
blue sign for the Canal Park. Turn right on Newport Rd. (towards Warners) to
Devoe Rd. Turn right on Devoe Rd. for .2 miles to the park.
