Canal Corporation to Kick-Off First Annual Canal Splash Weekend
Carmella R. Mantello, Director of the New York State Canal Corporation, will be joined by local officials and event organizers to kick-off the first annual Canal Splash weekend on Friday, August 11, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at Lock 7 Canal Park in Niskayuna, Schenectady County (directions below).
Members of the media, including photographers, are invited to attend.

DIRECTIONS:
From I-87 (Adirondack Northway): Take Exit 6 to NY Rte 7 west approximately 3.25
miles to Rosendale Road. Right on Rosendale Road and proceed approximately 1.5
miles to intersection of Rosendale Road and Lock 7 Road. Straight onto Lock 7
Road proceed a few hundred feet to the Lock Park parking area on right.
From NYS Thruway: Take Exit 25 to I-890 to Route 7 Eastbound. Make a left turn onto Rosendale Road (located one block before intersection of Union Street and Route 7). Go approximately two miles and make a left turn on Lock 7 Road, follow to end.
