FESTIVAL ON THE ERIE CRUISES INTO CAPITAL REGION THIS WEEKEND
The “Festival on the Erie”, a 10-day traveling Irish Music
Festival will perform along the Erie Canal in Waterford, Amsterdam, Canajoharie
and St. Johnsville this weekend. Canal Corporation Director Carmella R. Mantello
will be joined by local officials to officially kick-off the festivities at the
Waterford Harbor Visitors Center in Waterford at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006.
The Festival is being organized by the Boys of Wexford, LLC, in conjunction with
the New York State Canal Corporation and will feature more than 20 well-known
regional and international Irish and folk musicians.
