New Canalway Trail Segment to be Dedicated at Herkimer Home State Historic Site
Event Part of Statewide National Trails Day Celebration
The New York State Canal Corporation will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new segment of the Erie Canalway Trail at the Herkimer Home State Historic Site near Little Falls at Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
Canal Corporation Director Carmella R. Mantello will be joined by local officials and representatives from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Photo and television footage opportunities will be available.

DIRECTIONS: Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 29A, Little Falls. After toll booths, proceed straight for ¼ mile on Route 169 to Herkimer Home entrance on right. Parking is available in the Herkimer Home State Historic Site parking lot.
