MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CANALWAY TRAIL IN PITTSFORD
The New York State Canal Corporation and the Town of Pittsford will make a major announcement regarding the Canalway Trail on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. The announcement will take place at Old Monroe Avenue adjacent to the current Monroe Avenue (Route 31) bridge over the canal (directions below).
Canal Corporation Director Carmella R. Mantello and Town of Pittsford
Supervisor William Carpenter will be in attendance.

Directions: From the Intersection of Routes 96 and 31 in the Village of Pittsford: West on Route 31 (Monroe Ave.) approximately one-half mile. Take first left after crossing the bridge over Erie Canal at Woodland Rd. Take an immediate left onto Old Monroe Ave. Proceed approximately one tenth of a mile to end of Old Monroe Avenue at Erie Canal.
