Canal Connections Tour Stopping in Baldwinsville

New York State Canal Corporation Seeking Community Input to Shape the Erie Canal Greenway Walking Tour of Baldwinsville Canal Developments to Follow Meeting

The New York State Canal Corporation today announced that the Canal Connections Tour will be arriving in Baldwinsville at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21. The meeting will be held at the Blue Water Grill on Oswego Street in Baldwinsville.

New York State Canal Corporation Director Carmella R. Mantello will gather input and ideas from Federal, State and local officials, community and business leaders, as well as other groups interested in the Canal's future and Governor Pataki's proposal for an Erie Canal Greenway and Empire State Greenway.

Joining Ms. Mantello, Mayor Daniel D. O’Hara from the Village of Baldwinsville will be in attendance. Federal, State and local officials have also been invited to attend the event.

At noon there will be a walking tour highlighting the Canal developments taking place.

Directions: Take Thruway Exit 39 to Route 690 West/North. After passing over the Canal, exit Route 690 at East 31, Route 370. Take a left at the stop sign onto Route 370. Make a right at the traffic light onto Route 48. Take a left onto Denio Street (before the bridge). Proceed to restaurant parking area.
