Canal Corporation to Kickoff “Canal Connections Tour”
Seeking community input in shaping the Erie Canal Greenway
What:
New York State Canal Corporation is launching its Canal Connections Tour. Canal
Corporation Director Carmella R. Mantello will be unveiling the strategy of the
Tour, which will gather input and ideas from local officials, community and
business leaders, as well as other groups interested in the Canal's future and
Governor Pataki's proposal for an Erie Canal Greenway and Empire State Greenway.

Local elected officials have also been invited to attend.
Directions: From Thruway Interchange 29, turn right on Route 5S (East Main St.). Turn right at the traffic light onto Route 10 North (Church St.). Entrance to the Waterfront Park & Pavilion is the first driveway on the right after you pass under the Thruway overpass. The pavilion is at the waterfront.
In the event of rain, the news conference will be held at the Arkell Conference Center. From Thruway Interchange 29, turn right on Route 5S (East Main St.). Take the first left onto Mitchell St. Take the first left onto Montgomery St. The Arkell Complex will be on the left. The Conference Center is on the corner of Montgomery St. and Maple Ave.
