NOTICE TO MARINERS

Champlain Canal

September 18, 2009

Mariners are advised that stone placement work will begin on Monday, September 21, 2009 on the banks of the land cut section on the Champlain Canal, between Lock C-6 in Fort Miller and the Crocker's Reef Guard Gate to the north.  Canal Corporation vessels will be working on-site during daytime hours and will be moored on-site, and illuminated per Coast Guard Regulations, during evening hours.  Mariners are reminded to proceed with caution through the work zone, and are asked to proceed at a "no wake" speed.

The Canal Corporation appreciates the public's patience during this project.
