Mariners are
advised that stone placement work will begin on Monday,
September 21, 2009 on the banks of the land cut section
on the Champlain Canal, between Lock C-6 in Fort Miller
and the Crocker's Reef Guard Gate to the north. Canal
Corporation vessels will be working on-site during
daytime hours and will be moored on-site, and
illuminated per Coast Guard Regulations, during evening
hours. Mariners are reminded to proceed with caution
through the work zone, and are asked to proceed at a "no
wake" speed.
The Canal
Corporation appreciates the public's patience during
this project.
