Mariners are advised that Brookfield Renewable Power will be lowering the water level behind the Dam at High Dam, between Lock O-5 and Lock O-6 in Oswego, approximately 1.8 feet below normal, in order to install flashboards on the dam.

The water level will be lowered starting early Wednesday morning, August 5, 2009 in preparation for the work to be done.   The water level will be returned to normal later in the day.

Should weather and/or flow conditions in the river dictate, the work may be required to be cancelled and rescheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2009.
