Mariners are advised that the Champlain Canal, between Lock C-1 Waterford and Lock C-5 in Northumberland, is experiencing high water levels with fast currents and heavy debris.

Any vessels with over 16 feet in overhead clearance should call ahead to locks to check clearances.
