Mariners are advised that
the Alplaus Fire Company #1 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a
"Paddling for a Cure" regatta in Alplaus in the Town of
Glenville on Sunday, July 19th, from 8:30 AM
to 1:00 PM. The
event will start at the Burnt Hills Rowing Association
docks at the Capital Region Maritime Center, proceeding
east to Buoy 56 and back to the Maritime Center. The location of the event is between Locks E-7
and E-8, in the vicinity of the Schenectady Yacht Club.
Boaters are reminded to use caution and be mindful of
their wakes in this area as there will be 75 to 100
kayaks, in that vicinity on the north shore,
participating during the duration of the event.
