Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal between Lock
E-29 in Palmyra and Lock E-28B in Newark will re-open
for navigation at 7:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2009.
Mariners are reminded to use caution and be mindful
of their wakes when operating on the Canal.
The Canal Corporation appreciates the public’s
patience.

www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners
may sign up for automatic e-mail and text message alerts
through the Canal TRANSalert service. This service is
offered to notify mariners of major incidents and
