Mariners are advised that the Canal Corporation
received a report of a large floating dead animal in the
Erie Canal just east of Railroad Avenue Bridge (E-38) in
Frankfort.
Boaters should obey the speed limit and proceed with
caution in the navigation channel between Lock E-18 in
Jacksonburg and Lock E-19 in Frankfort. On Monday, Canal
crews will investigate the report and take appropriate
action.
