Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal between Lock
E-29 in Palmyra and Lock E-28B in Newark will reopen for
navigation at 7:00 AM on Thursday, June 18.
Mariners are asked to proceed at a "no wake" speed in
areas where equipment is in the water.
The Canal Corporation appreciates the public’s
patience.

may sign up for automatic e-mail and text message alerts
through the Canal TRANSalert service. This service is
offered to notify mariners of major incidents and
