NEW YORK STATE CANAL SYSTEM

Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal between Lock E-29 in Palmyra and Lock E-28B in Newark is open for navigation.

Mariners are asked to proceed at a "no wake" speed in areas where equipment is in the water.

Mariners are also advised that it is anticipated that another canal closure in this area will be required in the next 24 to 48 hours.
