• November 7, 2008 -- Mariners are advised that piling replacement work will be in progress on the Erie Canal, starting on Monday, November 10, 2008
• November 3, 2008 -- Mariners are advised that all lighted navigation aids on the waters of Cayuga Lake will be replaced with unlighted channel spar markers for winter maintenance, starting on Friday, November 7, 2008
• October 29, 2008 -- Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal between Lock E-8 in Scotia and Lock E-15 in Fort Plain has re-opened for navigation
• October 29, 2008 -- Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal between Lock E-8 in Scotia and Lock E-15 in Fort Plain has closed due to high water caused by heavy rainfall
