MARINERS

Mariners are advised that vessel traffic is restricted to the
north span of the Holley Guard Gate and Brockport Guard Gate until
further notice. The south leaf at each of these guard gates is
temporarily closed due to maintenance.
Additionally, mariners can expect water elevations in this
vicinity to be as much as 6 inches below normal pool level while
this maintenance is being conducted.
For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor
1-800-4CANAL4 and www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners may sign
up for automatic e-mail and text message alerts through the new
Canal TRANSalert service. This service is offered to notify mariners
of major incidents and emergencies that may affect navigation on the
New York State Canal System. To register for this service, please
