Mariners are advised that the pool above Lock E-14 in Canajoharie will be lowered to the elevation of 293.5 or six inches below published pool, beginning at 8:00 AM on Thursday, July 12th, 2007. The pool is being lowered for contract work on the dam, located at the lock. It is anticipated that the pool will be lowered until 2:00 PM and will be returned to normal level by the end of the day.

Depending on weather and/or flow conditions in the river, the work may be cancelled and rescheduled. For questions and inquiries, please contact Brian Swift at (518) 853-3823.

These temporary low water levels may affect some vessels docked in shallower water near shore. Boaters are advised to stay within channel markers.
