MARINERS

Drilling activities will be taking place between Lock C-2 and Lock
C-3, in the vicinity of Bridge C-4A in Mechanicville, beginning on
Wednesday, June 27, 2007 and continuing through Friday, June 29,
2007.
A tug and work barge will be on scene during these operations and
will monitor VHF Channel 13. Mariners should proceed cautiously
through this area and at a No Wake speed.
For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor
1-800-4CANAL4 and www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners may sign
up for automatic email and text message alerts through the new Canal
TRANSalert service. This service is offered to notify mariners of
major incidents and emergencies that may affect navigation on the
