Erie Canal - Waterford

Mariners are advised that the floating docks and much of the bulkhead wall at the Waterford Canal Harbor will be closed to vessel traffic from 10 AM on Thursday, June 28th to 12 PM on Monday, July 2nd for the Waterford Steamboat Meet. The Waterford floating docks will be reserved for participating steamboats and tour boats, and portions of the bulkhead wall will be reserved for the Tug Urger, fireworks scow, and other participating vessels. Alternate vessel docking for transient recreational craft will be available in the Waterford Flight at Erie Lock 3 beginning at 8 AM on Thursday, June 28th and for the duration of the event.

The floating docks at Waterford will re-open for public docking at 12 PM on Monday, July 2nd on a space available basis.

For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners may sign up for automatic email and text message alerts through the new Canal TRANSalert service.
