MARINERS

Cayuga/Seneca Canal

Mariners are advised that on Monday, June 18, 2007, there will be
scheduled maintenance at C/S-4 in Waterloo on the Cayuga/Seneca
Canal. Due to this maintenance, there may be a slight delay in
opening the lock at 7:00AM. It is anticipated that the work will be
completed and the lock reopened by 8:00 AM.
For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor
1-800-4CANAL4 and www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners may sign
up for automatic email and text message alerts through the new Canal
TRANSalert service. This service is offered to notify mariners of
major incidents and emergencies that may affect navigation on the
New York State Canal System. To register for this service, please
visit www.nyscanals.gov/tas/.
