Mariners are advised that the Bridge Street Bascule Bridge (Bridge O-3) which spans Lock O-1 in Phoenix will be lowered from Noon to 1 PM on Friday, June 1st as part of the Phoenix Canal Days celebration. This will essentially close the lock. The Culvert Street Bascule Bridge (Bridge O-4), north of the lock, will operate as necessary.

For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners may sign up for automatic email and text message alerts through the new Canal TRANSalert service. This service is offered to notify mariners of major incidents and emergencies that may affect navigation on the New York State Canal System.
