Erie Canal System
Update

Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal from Lock E-22 in New London to Lock E-27 in Lyons, and Lock C/S-1 on the Cayuga-Seneca Canal and the entire length of the Oswego Canal have reopened to traffic. The entire Canal System is now open. The hours of operation will remain 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until further notice.

Mariners should be aware of high water and debris in all Canal sections. Accordingly, mariners should take all possible steps to minimize vessel wakes which can cause property damage. In addition, some buoys may be off station. Please check with local lock locations to verify bridge clearances before proceeding.
