NOTICE TO
MARINERS
Erie and Cayuga-Seneca Canals
Update

11:00 a.m.
Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal from Lock E-12 in Tribes
Hill to Lock E-16 in St. Johnsville has reopened in addition to
yesterday’s reopening of Lock E-8 in Scotia to Lock E-11 in
Amsterdam.
The Erie Canal from Lock E-17 in Little Falls to E-22 in New
London remains closed, as does the Erie Canal from Lock E-24 in
Baldwinsville to Lock E- 27 in Lyons and Lock C/S-1 on the
Cayuga-Seneca Canal.
Mariners are advised that in the areas of the New York State
Canal System that remain open for navigation, high water levels
persist. Mariners should verify bridge clearances prior to
transiting these areas and pay close attention to their wakes.
