NOTICE TO
MARINERS
Champlain Canal
July 26, 2006
Construction work on Ryder Road Bridge (C-27) in the Village of
Whitehall has reduced vertical clearance of 14 feet on one/half of
the span of the bridge. As bridge work progresses, the area of
reduced vertical clearance will change locations.
Mariners can contact lock operators at Lock C-11 in Comstock,
Ph.518-639-8964 and Lock C-12 in Whitehall, Ph. 518-499-1700 for
more detailed information when traversing this section of the Canal.
Please watch for construction signs when approaching the
construction area.
