NOTICE TO
MARINERS
Champlain and Erie Canals
July 23, 2006
Mariners are advised that the Champlain Canal from Lock C-7 in
Fort Edward to Lock C-12 in Whitehall is temporarily closed due to
high water levels. In addition, the Erie Canal from Lock E-8 in
Scotia to Lock E-19 in Schyuler is temporarily closed due to high
water levels.
Also, mariners should be aware of reduced bridge height
clearances from Lock C-1 in Waterford to Lock C-7 in Fort Edward.
For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and
www.canals.state.ny.us.
