NOTICE TO
MARINERS
Erie Canal Re-opening
July 23, 2006
10:30 a.m.
Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal from Lock E-17 in Little
Falls to Lock E-19 in Schyuler has been re-opened to local traffic.
This opening has occurred because water levels have receded sooner
than anticipated.
Lock E-8 in Scotia to Lock E-16 in Mindenville still remain
closed at this time.
For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and
www.canals.state.ny.us.
