NOTICE TO
MARINERS
Erie Canal
July 21, 2006
Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal from Lock E-24 in
Baldwinsville to the junction of the Cayuga/Seneca Canal will open
at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 22nd. A “No Wake” advisory has been
posted by Onondaga and Cayuga County Sheriff's Departments in this
area.
Lock E-11 in Amsterdam to Lock E-16 in Mindenville will also open
at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 22nd. Mariners are advised that green
buoy 225 and green buoy 227 have been reported missing. Although all
other buoys have been reported on station between Lock E-11 and Lock
E-16, not all buoys are appropriately numbered. Please be alert for
floating debris in this area.
