NOTICE TO
MARINERS
Erie Canal
Closure

June 28, 2006
Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal from Lock E-2 in
Waterford to Lock
E-22 in Sylvan Beach is closed due to high water from recent
rainfall.
Mariners should expect debris and reduced bridge clearances on
many sections of the Canal System which remain open, and should be
aware of vessel wake effect on low-lying property.

www.canals.state.ny.us.
