NOTICE TO
MARINERS
Erie and Champlain Canals
Closures
June 27, 2006
Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal from Lock
E-8 in Scotia to Lock E-16 in Fort Plain is closed due to high water
from recent rainfall.
Also, Lock C-12 in Whitehall on the Champlain Canal
is closed. Bridge clearance between Lock C-9 and Lock C-11 has been
reduced to 15.5’.
