The New York State Canal Corporation has been
informed of the following action being taken by Brookfield Power
on the Oswego River to facilitate flashboard replacement:
Beginning on the evening of Monday, June 19, the pool at Lock
O-3 will be lowered approximately 2.5 feet below normal pool.
Work on this level should be completed and the level returned to
normal by the evening of Tuesday, June 20.
Beginning on the evening of Tuesday, June 20,
the pool will be lowered at Lock O-5 approximately 2 feet below
normal pool. Work on this level should be completed and the
level returned to normal by the evening of Wednesday, June 21.
Beginning on Tuesday, Mariners are advised to
transit these levels with extreme caution while this work is
performed. Though not responsible for this action, the Canal
Corporation regrets any inconvenience to the boating public.
