NEW YORK STATE CANAL SYSTEM

Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal has re-opened from Lock E-17 to Lock E-22 @ 10:00 A.M. today. The Erie Canal from Lock E-2 to Lock E-16 still remains closed due to high water resulting from recent heavy rainfall. In addition, the Champlain Canal has also re-opened from Lock C-5 to Lock C-12. Lock C-1 to Lock C-4 still remains closed. Sections that remain closed will re-open as soon as levels recede and buoys are re-set.
