NOTICE TO
MARINERS
October 26, 2005
Mariners are advised that continued high water has
necessitated additional closures along the Erie Canal. The Erie
Canal is now closed from Lock E-2 to Lock E-19. In addition, the
Champlain Canal remains closed from Lock C-1 to Lock C-12.
Mariners should navigate with caution on sections of
the Canal System which remain open, and be prepared for excessive
debris and reduced bridge clearances.

to monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and
www.canals.state.ny.us.
