NOTICE TO
MARINERS
October 25, 2005
Mariners are advised that the Champlain Canal has
closed from Lock C-1 to Lock C-12 due to high water resulting from
recent heavy rainfall. In addition, the Erie Canal from Lock E-2 to
Lock E-15 remains closed.
Mariners should navigate with caution on sections of
the Canal System which remain open, and be prepared for excessive
debris and reduced bridge clearances.

to monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and
www.canals.state.ny.us.
