NOTICE TO
MARINERS
October 25, 2005
Mariners are advised that the Champlain Canal has
closed at Lock C-12 due to high water resulting from recent heavy
rainfall. As conditions further deteriorate, additional closures on
the Champlain Canal are anticipated tomorrow.
Mariners should navigate with caution on sections of
the Canal System which remain open, and be prepared for excessive
debris and reduced bridge clearances.
For updates and information, mariners are advised
to monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and
www.canals.state.ny.us.
