NOTICE TO
MARINERS

Champlain Canal
Mariners are advised that the Champlain Canal is
closed to vessel traffic from Lock C-1 in Waterford to Lock C-4 in
Stillwater due to high water. Lock C-12 in Whitehall has also closed
to vessel traffic. These sections of the Canal will re-open as soon
as conditions are safe for navigation.
Mariners should expect increased current and
debris along other parts of the Champlain Canal, and some
sections of the Erie Canal between Utica and Waterford.
Updates and changes in canal status will be posted
in subsequent notices.

www.canals.state.ny.us.
