NEW YORK STATE CANAL SYSTEM

Mariners are advised that the floating docks and much of the bulkhead wall at the Waterford Canal Harbor will be closed to vessel traffic from 10 AM Thursday, June 30th to 5 PM Sunday, July 3rd for the Waterford Steamboat Meet. Docking will be available at Erie Lock 3 for the duration of the event. Mariners are also advised to maintain a 100 feet security zone around participating vessels in the steamboat parade from Troy to Waterford between the hours of 4 PM and 6 PM on Friday, July 1st. The parade will be lead by the Tug Urger and the zone will be enforced by police marine patrol.

Anchoring in the Waterford Harbor or tying to the south Lock E-2 approach wall will be permitted only on Saturday, July 3rd for fireworks viewing, outside of the security zone prescribed by local law enforcement and the U.S. Coast Guard. The floating docks at Waterford will re-open for public docking at 7 AM Monday, July 4th on a space availability basis.
