NEW YORK STATE CANAL SYSTEM

The New York State Canal Corporation has been informed of the following action being taken by Brascan Power on the Oswego River to facilitate flashboard replacement:

Beginning on Sunday, June 5, the pool between Lock O-2 and O-3 will be lowered approximately 2.5’ below normal pool. Work on this level should be completed and the level returned to normal by the evening of Monday, June 6.

Beginning on Monday, June 6, the pool between Lock O-5 and O-6 will be lowered approximately 2.6’ below normal pool. Work on this level should be completed and the level returned to normal by the evening of Thursday, June 9.

Beginning on Tuesday, June 7, the pool between Lock O-6 and O-7 will be lowered approximately 4.5’ below normal pool. Work on this level should be completed and the level returned to normal by the evening of Thursday, June 9.

Mariners are advised to transit these levels with extreme caution while this work is performed. Though not responsible for this action, the Canal Corporation regrets any inconvenience to the boating public.
