Weather Along the Canal System
Weather has always been an important factor in planning any
navigational adventure. When the Canal was built, people had
to rely on almanacs and rheumatism to predict the weather;
fortunately, modern canalers have satellites and ground-based
tracking stations which make weather forecasting less
guesswork and more a science.
For your convenience, we've provided links to the current National
Weather Service forecasts (text-only) for several
communities along the Canal System
Disclaimer: the weather
information referenced by these links is gathered by the National
Weather Service, which is part of the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. They have
their own disclaimer
regarding its use.
