TOURING THE CANALWAY TRAIL

Self-guided Inn-to-Inn touring is now available along the Erie Canalway Trail. Two brochures are available to help plan your trip. The Inn-to-Inn Touring Along the Erie Canalway Trail: Albany, Schenectady and Montgomery Counties covers the eastern end of the State. Inn-to-Inn Touring Along the Erie Canalway Trail: Lockport to Palmyra covers the western part of the State.Cycling the Erie Canal

For the adventure of a lifetime, try cycling across the entire State from Albany to Buffalo in Cycling the Erie Canal, a fully supported annual tour organized by Parks and Trails New York. For more information, please refer to www.ptny.org/canaltour.

A new guide book called Cycling the Erie Canal: A Guide to 400 miles of Adventure and History Along the Erie Canalway Trail, is now available from Parks and Trails New York. The guide book contains route information and lists services such as bike shops, lodging and restaurants. To find out more, please refer to the Parks and Trails New York website.
